There still remain a few wild places in the world and this is one of them. Nestled at the base of Kokrines Hills, Alaska’s Yukon River Lodge (currently under construction) overlooks the Nowitna National Wildlife Refuge and the Yukon River stretched out before it.

This is a place where time slows down, king salmon steaks are common dinner fare and wolves roam free. It is the true Alaska - remote, wild and beautiful.

On this site, you can follow our progress building the lodge and some of our adventures as we live and work in this spectacularly beautiful Interior Alaskan wilderness, our year-round home.

Summer 2008 was a huge success for us with much progress made building the new lodge. Now, at last, we have something to show for all of our efforts - a beautiful start - a highly insulated Alaskan lodge made with timbers logged and milled onsite. There is still a lot of work to be done before we’ll be able to open our doors to guests (see our page titled “The Lodge” for more information), yet we are very excited about our progress to date and the future before us.
